What is inclusive leadership training?

Inclusive leadership training teaches leaders to make decisions that give everyone fair opportunities to contribute, grow, and succeed, so no talent, idea, or perspective is overlooked.

At CRW Diversity, the training is built on the Equity in Action Model and led by Celeste Warren, who spent 10 years leading global diversity and inclusion at a Fortune 100 company. It is practical by design: leaders work on their real decisions, not abstract scenarios, and they look at the systems around their teams as well as their own behavior.

Becoming a successful leader through inclusive leadership training

Inclusive leadership is effective leadership. When leaders understand their assumptions, widen access to information and opportunity, and advocate for overlooked talent, more of the organization's ability gets used.

The training keeps the focus on outcomes. In the Equity in Action Model, Accountability means looking beyond intentions to what actually happened.

Leading with effective communication

Communication runs through the model. Awareness covers how assumptions shape what leaders hear. Access covers who receives information and who is left out. Empowerment is about creating conditions where people use their voices.

Communication content is tailored for each group, so share your goals when you contact CRW Diversity.

Inclusive leadership training activities, organized by the six elements

Workshops use reflection questions and next steps for each element. Here is the question each one asks leaders to work on.
  • Awareness

What assumptions or patterns are shaping this decision?

Understand how assumptions, experiences, and organizational patterns influence decisions.

  • Access

Who has access here, and who does not?

Examine who has access to information, opportunities, relationships, and resources.

  • Advocacy

Whose talent, ideas, or perspectives are being overlooked?

Use your influence to ensure talent, ideas, and perspectives aren't overlooked.

  • Action

What deliberate decision will I make differently?

Turn awareness and good intentions into deliberate leadership decisions.

  • Accountability

What actually happened, regardless of what we intended?

Look beyond intentions and pay attention to outcomes.

  • Empowerment

Can people here contribute, grow, and use their voices?

Create the conditions for people to contribute, grow, and use their voices.

Which CRW Diversity format fits your leaders?

Every format is compared on the same three points: who it serves, what it focuses on, and how long it runs.
